BMW coding online
AntiDazzle Headlights.
Your adaptive LED headlights can keep the high beam on and cut out of the beam only the spot where another car is driving. The factory ships this function in the software; we switch it on in the coding, in one short online session.

How this feature works
- 01
The camera sees the others
The camera behind the windscreen recognises the lights of oncoming cars and cars ahead, the same way the high beam assistant does today.
- 02
The beam goes around them
Instead of switching the whole high beam off, the headlight turns off only the LED segments that would shine into other drivers. The rest of the road stays lit.
- 03
You do nothing
You leave the stalk in the automatic position. The function works outside built-up areas and returns to low beam by itself when the road is bright.

What you get
- Activation of the factory anti-dazzle high beam (selective beam)
- High beam assistant settings matched to the new function
- A test in the car menu while the session is still running
- About 5 minutes online, on its own or together with other services

What changes in the car

The high beam stays on along the whole road. Around the oncoming car the headlight leaves a dark corridor, while the verge, the posts and the signs stay lit.
Most BMWs with adaptive LED headlights carry the same software as cars ordered with the anti-dazzle high beam from the factory. The difference sits in the coding: in one equipment line or one market the function is on, in another it is not.
In the online session we connect to your car through the ENET cable and a laptop, change the settings in the modules responsible for the headlights and the camera, then check that the new entry appears in the menu. We touch neither the mechanics nor the wiring; everything stays factory.
You see the effect on the first night drive: the verge, the signs and animals by the road are lit, and the driver coming towards you is not squinting. In town and on bright roads the assistant returns to low beam by itself.
Good to know
The feature needs adaptive LED headlights with the high beam assistant. Most newer cars with such headlights have it, but not every one; if you are unsure, check the VIN before buying.
Will it work on my car?
It needs adaptive LED headlights with the high beam assistant. If you are unsure, check the VIN on WhatsApp before buying; we verify the equipment by chassis number.
Is it legal?
It is a factory BMW function fitted as standard in many markets, including Europe. Check the rules in your country. The coding can be reversed in a later session.
Does anything change in the low beam?
No. Low beam, indicators and daytime running lights work as before. Only the behaviour of the high beam in automatic mode changes.
Do I have to set anything after the session?
A new assistant option appears in the car menu. We show it to you during the session; usually switching it on once is enough.
